The Canberra Business Yarning Circle assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to develop business skills and confidence. The Canberra Business Yarning Circle is an initiative of the ACT government and Dion Devow from Darkies Design. The ACT Government’s Growth, Jobs and Diversification: A Business Development Strategy, identified support for Indigenous enterprise development as a deliverable.
Established in 2015 The Canberra Business Yarning Circle was the first Canberra Indigenous Business Forum of its kind in the region. An initiative of ACT Australian of the Year, Manbarra and Torres Strait Island man, Dion Devow, it is recognized by the First Indigenous Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FACCI). Since inception it has helped establish, mentor and advise many new Indigenous Businesses. It’s a great place to yarn about business in Canberra.
